In the past, indigenous peoples practiced various techniques to manifest energies in the universe and to be able to read the energy flows that arise after a decision has been made. Today, the best-known techniques are throwing stones, shells, coins, or other objects, as well as laying cards.

Answers can also be found in nature, because if you are mindful and have a specific intention, you will see exactly what is important and be able to interpret its meaning for yourself.

How divination works

A reading is guided by the input of the reader's supporting spirits, who are called upon for this purpose. The spiritual world thus speaks through the oracle.

It is therefore not based on drawing a card and then reading the accompanying explanatory booklet, as is commonly done today, because depending on the question, the energy of the person asking the question, and in conjunction with other cards, the same card can have a different meaning.

In spiritually guided divination, the trained reader feels the power of the spirit, hears its words, or sees the development of a situation as a moving scene in the reading.

When divination is useful

Divination methods do not make decisions for you. However, experienced readers can discern trends from the layout that may influence a particular decision. When laying cards, a question is often asked, such as “What will happen if I decide to ...?” and then several cards are laid out. From this, a tendency can be read as to whether the outcome is more positive or negative, and where obstacles or challenges may lie. This is not only about the aspect of physical truth, but also about our thoughts and feelings. Oracles can thus also reveal aspects that one would not have thought of oneself. Divination methods therefore provide important information so that one can then make a more informed decision.

Potential hazards

Divination methods are aids to decision-making, but the responsibility lies with you and should not be relinquished. Not even unconsciously. Accordingly, divination should always be used with the intention of being open to whatever aspects of the truth are revealed by the oracle that you may not have noticed or considered sufficiently yourself. In the best case, the oracle confirms the decision that the heart has already made, but the head was not yet willing to believe or accept.

Essential requirements

Readers establish a strong connection with their oracle and understand the importance of its energetic state. In addition to frequent energetic cleansing, not everyone is allowed to see or touch the objects so that only the energies of the questioner and reader resonate in them during a reading.

The room should also be cleansed, protected, and held by the supporting spirits during the reading so that nothing disruptive can interfere on a subtle level.

Divining for oneself

The reader cannot be separated from the reading energetically. When I ask questions for myself, there is a possibility that my wishes will influence my reading of the cards. Therefore, it makes sense to ask another person to perform the divination and to give them as little preliminary information as possible that could influence them.
